Identify the best predictor of weight among the following independent variables: age, smoking status, exercise, and education.
Interpret the results for the best predictor. Guidelines for interpreting the regression can be found in What to Include When Writing Up Linear Regression Results (PDF).
Report the equation for this regression line.
Obtain a scatterplot and plot a regression line on the scatterplot.
Predict the weight for someone who is 45 years old.
If needed, review the following screencast, “Using Regression to Predict College Grades,” which tests a regression equation with high_GPA as the independent variable and univ_GPA as the dependent variable.
