In this case assignment, you are required to use the concepts and theories of health psychology learned up to module 4 to develop your arguments using the following section titles.

Project Title: Ways for increasing quality of personal health care Definition of Term: Quality of personal health care – The extent to which individuals take personal responsibility to seek, obtain and use the necessary healthcare services and products to achieve potential maximum health.

1. Psychological resistance to changing harmful health behaviors (Discuss the benefits of decreasing psychological resistance that can lead to choosing more positive behaviors and discuss one or more health psychology theory that can help to do this)

2. Gender differences in health care habits (Discuss the healthcare habits that are separately unique to men and those that are separately unique to women and how they can be used for healthier well-being.

3. Environmental factors that affect health (Identify two or three environmental factors affecting health, such as quality of the sources of water, food, air quality, chemicals in the environment and pollution etc and relate them to how to minimize their potential negative impact on health)

4. Lifestyle habits such as improved sleep and stress management, smoking, drug use and drug abuse, etc—provide an argument how to minimize their negative impact on health.

5. Routine health care services- discuss how engagement in routine health care services can contribute to “Quality of

personal health care”

6. Conclusion—Summarize how your discussion in your paper can lead to the achievement of “Quality of personal health care.”

For your signature assignment prepare a paper to address why obesity, eating disorders, diabetes and stress have remained in the attention of everyone.
