Diagram of a System
Understanding the complexity of the system behind an organization can be aided with the use of a visual depiction of that system. The diagram below from Checkland does just that, providing a systems drawing of the connections between parts of a health care system. The system diagram provides a visual representation of the complex parts, and more importantly the interrelatedness of those complex parts within the health system. This offers a visual snapshot of the dynamic, moving parts of the particular system.

Diagram of a System Assignment
Think of an organization you are familiar with professionally and identify a system to cover in this assignment. In a sentence or two, briefly describe the function of the system.
