Nurse Logic Nurse Concepts Beginner Test
PURPOSE Nurse Logic 2.0 is an interactive online tutorial that will review clinical judgment, QSEN Competencies and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) recommendations for nursing education and practice.
COURSE OUTCOMES
1. Examine the sources of knowledge that contribute to professional nursing practice.
2. Apply research principles to the interpretation of the content of published research studies.
3. Identify ethical issues common to research involving human subjects.
4. Evaluate published nursing research for credibility and clinical significance related to evidence-based practice.
5. Recognize the role of research findings in evidence-based practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Computer with internet access
o Access to ATI
o Recommend using Firefox browser and clearing your cookies and cache if you are accessing ATI on laptop or desktop computer
PREPARING THE ASSIGNMENT Log into your My ATI Account and select the “Learn” tab then click “Nurse Logic” and complete: Nursing Concepts Beginner Test.
DIRECTIONS AND ASSIGNMENT CRITERIA
• Actual points earned will be based on the percentage earned on the first attempt multiplied by the total points possible.
o Example: If the assignment is worth 20 points, and you get 50% of the questions correct, you will earn 10 points ( 50% X 20 divided by 100%= 10)
o If you score less than 79% on the first attempt you must submit a 150 word reflection on three clinical points based on the module topics that can be used in nursing practice.
o You may retake the module and test, after a 24 hour block out between attempts, to score additional points as follows (Note: total score with additional points cannot be greater than 100%)
• Additional percentage score (based on second attempt)
o Score between 90-100%, gain an additional 5% to first score
o Score between 79-89%, gain an additional 3% to first score
o Please note that your instructor may provide you with additional assessments in any form to determine that you fully understand the concepts learned in the review module.
