Week 7 Team Discussion
TEAM DISCUSSION: REVISING AND REFINING
As you prepare to submit your Final Paper as a team, work together to revise and solidify your assignment. Begin this week with explaining what areas of the project you will focus your revisions on. Make sure all teammates are using this discussion so the progress you make can be followed by everyone (including me) on the same Canvas site. This is so I can evaluate you all fairly. (Online-only students will likewise all record on Kaltura week 8)
Take advantage of face-to-face and/or team discussion planning to figure out how best for you and your team to “translate” the content of the CP research into slides and week 8 “live” presentation, no more than five minutes per teammate. Depending on modality, this is delivered in person or uploaded as a single taped Kaltura video. (The Team Leader if he or she has been the same all term is exempt from any week 8 in-depth portion, and he or she can simply introduce or make transitions between the panelists among teammates.)
This does not mean reading off the paper, or merely reciting data, but finding wisely chosen illustrations, data, video clips, photos, and/or charts to show an audience unfamiliar with your (sub)topic the highlights. Make it interesting and make it exciting. I do not set any number of slides as I believe that they should be used sparingly, and that you as a presenter should dominate the presentation, while the visual content enhances and enriches you. Adapt these directions for either an onsite LL delivery or online version to upload. If time permits and an all-online team can arrange it, you too can deliver live in LL.
