With the advent of the Internet and electronic databases, patients have access to medical data and advice from many sources. Unfortunately, not all of these sources provide accurate information. As a nurse leader, part of your role will be to train your nurses so they can educate their patients about the appropriate use of information.
Remember, it is important to consider the information resources that different cultural groups will be likely to access, and to develop a training curriculum that assists your nurses in engaging with diverse patient beliefs and experiences.
What type of training would you design for your nurses?
What considerations would need to be included in the curriculum?

What are the consequences of patients accessing inaccurate information?
