Purpose
The purpose of the Midterm assessment is for the student to demonstrate understanding of the lessons and reading content provided in Modules 1-4 of this course.
Course Outcomes
This assessment provides documentation of student ability to meet the following course outcomes.
CO 1: Relate probabilistic and biostatistical terminology to public health issues.
CO 3: Develop the role of probability as it is applied to public health and medical research.
CO 5: Apply multivariable methods and use real data to test for statistical significance.

Submit your completed Midterm assessment by Sunday, 11:59 p.m. (MT), end of Week 4 as directed.
Requirements
The Midterm Problem Set Exam is worth 100 points and will be graded based on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading criteria/rubric.
The Midterm Problem Set Exam will be administered in the Learning Management System (LMS). However, you’re required to demonstrate all calculations for each problem set.
You have 4 hours to complete the exam once you start in the LMS. Please write down your answer for each problem set. Please be sure you have removed as many distractions as possible, to allow time to work through the statistical calculations. If you close the exam, the timer will continue to count the time.
You can include the calculations in your question set in LMS, or write the equations and calculations in Word or on paper, which you will be required to submit on this page within 24 hours of opening the quiz option of this mid-term.
