Assignment 1: Social Media Marketing Plan: Part A

Due Week 3 and worth 250 points

You are required to submit a social media marketing plan for a hypothetical product- or service-based company (the business cannot be a real business). You will build this plan in three separate assignment submissions over the length of the entire quarter.

Note: You may create and / or make all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

Create a five to six (5-6) page paper in which you:

Write an introduction to your business. Provide a thorough description of the company, including but not limited to, the company name, logo, location, prime products/services sold, target market (specific demographics such as age, income, education, geographic location, etc.), and any other items you deem necessary to create a social media marketing plan for this business.
Conduct a social media platform search, examining the top trending platforms. Thoroughly identify four social media platforms that you will use to include in your social media campaign. Thoroughly discuss why you selected each platform and how they align with the business’s target market.
Create your overall concrete goal for your social media campaign. Thoroughly discuss why you chose this overall goal and its intended effects upon the business’s overall marketing strategy. Thoroughly provide a rationale for your response. (Note: See page 47 in The Dragonfly Effect text.)
Create three microgoals for your social media campaign. Thoroughly discuss why you selected each microgoal and how each will assist in achieving the overall concrete goal for the social media campaign. (Note: See page 47 in The Effect text.)
Determine if you will be using the push or pull strategy within your social media strategy. Thoroughly provide a rationale for your response.
Go to https://research.strayer.edu to locate at least three (3) quality academic resources in this assignment. (Note: Wikipedia and other websites do not qualify as academic resources.)
Include a reference page using the Strayer Writing Standards. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
