“Transactional Communication Model.”  Please respond to the following:Scenario:  You are attending a town council meeting where you meet community  leader Fran Richardson who is influential in the transportation  business. You and Richardson obviously have a lot in common and your  conversation is animated and friendly. As a manager in an engineering  firm, you know that Richardson could be a valuable contact. Your  conversation is interrupted with the start of the meeting. Richardson  says to you, “Let’s meet for lunch. I’ll call you soon.”  Students will respond to each of the following:  Apply the trans-actional communication model to the above scenario, when  you met community leader Fran Richardson. Using each of the model’s  elements: Explain each component of the trans-actional communication model.  Assess how each element listed below influences the interpretation of a message’s meaning:  Sender  Receiver  Channel  Message  Feedback  Noise  Context  Simultaneous and Continuous    The  minimum requirements are a well written initial post addressing each of  the questions posed separately and thoroughly giving credit to any  sources used. Additionally respond to at least one of your colleagues  initial posting known as a comment post. Begin the comment post with the  person’s name, address their post and add a bit more to their initial  response. Posts that short, concise and simply state I agree, disagree  or good posts….will not receive credit. Although there are no minimum  requirements I suggest and challenge you to submit high quality posts  each week. Your initial response (post) you should aim for at least 200+  words and for the comment post, aim for responding to 2 of your  colleagues of at least 100+ words.
