Part 1: Culturally Responsive Resource InformationUsing the “Culturally Responsive Literacy Resources Template,” identify three culturally responsive resources to promote literacy from three different cultural perspectives or cultural values.Identify a variety of resources, with one being a digital/technological resource. Each culturally responsive resource should be indicative of three different cultural perspectives or cultural values. Provide examples/evidence from the resource to clearly support your response and include appropriate citations.Part 3: Curriculum Applications for Literacy DevelopmentRefer to the following guiding question to begin thinking about curriculum applications for literacy development. What are potential ways this culturally responsive resource could be used in content and elective areas to develop literacy skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking?List potential ways this resource could be used in content areas, other than language arts/English, to promote literacy development. Other content areas to consider include social studies, science, math, and an elective of your choice. Electives may be, but are not limited to, choir/chorus, band, strings, drama/theater, art, fine arts, robotics, physical education, cooking, dance, etc. Literacy development must include reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities/strategies.
