You can find such errors by consulting one of the online news sites, such as CBS’s Health section or the comparable section of many news sites. It is not even necessary to use the Internet; television, newspapers, and magazines carry health-related stories. The focus of the media is to grab attention and present a concise summary of an interesting research finding. The result is often to sensationalize and simplify research findings.
