In our lives, we may ‘outsource’ our faith. Today’s society teaches humanism, creationism, and so many other issues as truth. As a Christian, how much can we ‘outsource’ (rely on historical account, science, etc.), and how much scripture needs to be included to refute these heresies?

Since sin is prevalent on the earth, there are always going to be people devoted to humanism or other cults that go against the Word of God. “These latter levels include not only disciplines and structures now widely considered to be thoroughly secular (e.g., education, journalism, science, medicine, politics and law)” (Thomas, 2013). In the end, God’s Word is the ultimate Truth and should be used to gauge everything in a Christian’s life. If it does not align with God’s Word, then it is a heresy.
