Introduction – Provide a brief geographic (where is the river and what location is the data coming from?, what watershed(s) does it include, basic river statistics), climatological (basic seasonality of the region), and geological (is this part of a mountain river system? Or is it in a valley that integrates a lot of other rivers) background for your river; Include a regional map of watershed

Research Question and Thesis – Identify the major question that drove your research; the thesis is your answer to the question stated formally; this should already be done or revised from previous assignment

Research Methodology – identify where your scientific information came from – list the government websites/data warehouse from which the data came from and indicate the dates

Seasonal River Analysis –

Show and describe the annual cycle of discharge for your river at the selected location – take a seasonal approach (ex. During winter (Jan-Feb), discharge decreases due to low precipitation amounts…or decreases due to low temperatures and increased snowfall…)

Provide the reasons for which the discharge signal rises and falls over the course of the year – use supporting temperature/rainfall/etc data/graphs evidence to back up your ideas; – how does it match up with rainfall and temperature? (In areas other than FL they get snow and the water doesn’t arrive in the river until the snow melts – does the temperature graph suggest this happens?

Conclusion – refute or approve your original hypotheses and indicate how the data showed that your initial impression was wrong/right.
