The Environment is the Overall Support of Life.

The environment is everything in human beings' surroundings, beginning with the landscape and its animate and inanimate components. It also consists of a wide array of physical, chemical, and biotic components that are essential to the survival of humanity (Kitadai & Maruyama, 2018). The co-existence of these environmental elements implies that they interact in one way or another from time to time. These interactions are sometimes positive, such as when the ozone layer shields humanity and other creatures from the sun's harmful rays. In other instances, it is negative, like when pollution triggered by the activities of human beings harms the land and water bodies. When such disturbances occur, human beings are most affected by their repercussion. Aspects such as negative climatic changes and food shortages are just a few impacts of the disruption of the environmental equilibrium (Kitadai & Maruyama, 2018). These aspects highlight the need for instigating measures to ensure that the environment is a safe harbor that guarantees the survival of humanity. Ideally, the environment plays a vital role in supporting life, thus the need for environmental protection and conservation.

There is a huge need for everyone to preserve and protect the environment. This is because the environment plays a crucial role in sustaining life. The environment supports life through its various eco-systems. An example of these eco-systems is climatic stability. Farmers around the world rely heavily on climate stability to ensure that the plant at the right times. The environment also protects us from harmful factors such as UV radiation released from the sun. The environment also safely absorbs the waste released by humans. The human race is vulnerable to several factors, chief among them caused by human waste and pollution. The environment cleans the waste for our benefit. There are also the intrinsic benefits of a clean environment, which have psychological benefits. For these reasons, every human being should take an active role in protecting and preserving the environment. Every member of society should stand and take a position to protect the environment so that humanity may continue to enjoy these benefits for years to come.

Therefore, the environment supports life through natural processes without human interventions.

(Body Paragraph 2) Furthermore, the environment enhances the safe absorption of waste and pollution produced by human life. Human life is vulnerable to infections and other unhealthy conditions that might be instigated by waste and pollution (Kitadai & Maruyama, 2018). Therefore, safe absorption ensures that humanity's life has been protected from the anticipated threats. Human life has a high dependency ratio on the environment; thus, it naturally eliminates the threat. Humanity should contribute to activities like tree plantation and refrain from activities that could potentially damage the ozone layer to prevent damage.

(Body Paragraph 3) Finally, the environment has intrinsic psychological value. It has an intrinsic psychological value because it supports life and its existence within the universe. Its ability to create a safe space for humanity, animals, and plants to exist within a given area best indicates its psychological value. The environment can protect humanity and secure its existence value.
