Assignment:
You will select, memorize, and perform a 1-1 1/2 minute monologue.
A monologue is a one character act, where we only hear one character. A monologue may be funny or serious, or a mixture.
You character can be speaking: to the audience
on the telephone
to himself or an inanimate object (like a teddy bear, etc.) to a person we can’t see
(Pretend this invisible character is where the audience is so the audience sees your face)
Resources: monologue books, book stores, libraries, internet, novels, short stories, etc. Your subject matter and language must be appropriate for the classroom.
