Depending on your topic you will have different information to discuss in your presentation. These basic guidelines are divided between immunizations to prevent disease and topics related to immunization. Be creative and make it interesting – both on an informational and visual basis.
You will be creating an outline (due the class before presentations), PowerPoint/Prezi/PDF and giving a 5-7 minute presentation. I will determine the order of the presentations; you must be prepared the first day of presentations with your file saved on a USB/flash drive or CD (do not send as email). File must include name and topic in the title. You CANNOT use your computer. Part of your grade will be based on attendance/participation during the days of presentations. (See Rubric)
You can start by finding information in the text. The Center for Disease Control (www.CDC.gov) is a good starting place for immunization information; make sure you go to the area for healthcare personnel. If you are using the vaccine manufacturer website, use the science-based information for the medical personnel. Information to cover about disease-specific immunization (exa. Polio or Hepatitis B) :
