DQ1 Delegation, Assignment, and Supervision

Delegation, assignment, and supervision are key functions of the professional nurse for the delivery of safe patient care. Each state has developed Nurse Practice Acts that regulate the guidelines surrounding delegation and assignment of patient care.

DQ2 Organizational Culture Alignment of Values

Alignment of personal philosophies and values with institutional values facilitates organizational commitment and job satisfaction. When an organization’s values conflict with an employees’ values, and beliefs, discord can result. Think about the effect this could have on patient care.

Describe the organizational structure and culture from one of your previous work experiences. Provide your views on how well aligned your personal philosophies and values were compared to the organization’s structure and culture.
