DQ1 Find an example of a nonprofit that appeals to you. What needs does this nonprofit fill that business and government do not fill? DQ2 Identify a problem in society that could be addressed through a partnership between a nonprofit and a government. Why is it appropriate to address this problem with a partnership? Could this problem be addressed by one or the other? Explain why.

DQ1 Citizen engagement in public administration is important. During the budget process what techniques/questions would you use to gain citizen engagement?

DQ2 Describe an issue a city would face (infrastructure, budgeting, self-driving cars). Discuss alternative solutions to that issue. Discuss why you believe the alternatives would be best for the problem. Include citations for your solutions.

DQ1 Reread the memo about fair housing. Explain how you serve the council even though their ideas might differ from the public good. Can you argue that serving the council’s decision is serving the public good?
