Response 1: Hello Everyone,Your Data Gathering ExperienceNow that you have identified the type(s) of data you need in Week 2, its time to gather, review, and organize your data. Share your experiences (both successes and challenges) in gathering and reviewing the data identified in your post for last week’s discussion question.What sources did you use to gather your data?Google search, and the company’s websites (www.eliosmotors.com)How did you organize and save your data?Collected and organized in an excel spreadsheet and Microsoft One NoteWhere did you run into roadblocks?The major roadblock is determining which ROI type data will support the acquisition and how to collect future projections for this new service. There are many formulae’s to determine if the buy is worth bucks.What data do you wish you could find, but were unable to?Investor information or reporting was not available on the company website.What impact will any gaps in your data have on the validity of your analysis?I will make assumptions in the case of any gaps that best portray and represent missing data similar to the caricature reference made in ‘Keeping up with the Quants.’ Data should represent the major features.What advice do you have for others who might be seeking similar data?Reach out to the company by sending an email if the information is not readily available on the website.*******************************************Response 2:  Your Data Gathering ExperienceNow that you have identified the type(s) of data you need in Week 2, its time to gather, review, and organize your data. Share your experiences (both successes and challenges) in gathering and reviewing the data identified in your post for last week’s discussion question.I can honestly say collecting data is very tedious yet interesting. I am still gathering data for my project.What sources did you use to gather your data?I have two major sources I am currently using: google and marvel.How did you organize and save your data?I really do not have my data organized. I am writing the information down in a notebook. However, once I have a lot of data I will place the information in excel and do process of elimination.Where did you run into roadblocks?My main roadblock is organizing my data and knowing what data I need to keep. I was able to research and found a potential Airbnb close to Six Flags Over Georgia with free parking but the rate is $125.00 a day. Maybe Marvel can partner with them someway. Still trying to put the data together and staying on track as far as gathering data for the outcome.What data do you wish you could find, but were unable to?I am trying to work on my disposable income (income remaining after deduction of taxes and other mandatory charges).What impact will any gaps in your data have on the validity of your analysis? I don’t believe gaps in my data will question the validity of my analysis but it will make it that much difficult for me to prove how my winning move will be a success for Marvel and open a different world of entertainment…..AR experience.What advice do you have for others who might be seeking similar data?Don’t give up…keep researching and collecting. It is okay to have a lot of data during your research because you can always make adjustments. Be patient and think outside the box. Ask questions and seek help if needed.
