As the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated, nurses of the future will increasingly have to face global health challenges and will care for patients from all over the world.It will be helpful for students to have an understanding of some of the ways in which other countries’ healthcare systems are similar to, and differ from, that of the health care system in the United States. Skills: The purpose of this assignment is to help you practice the following skills that are essential to your success in this course and as a future nurse: Analyzing aspects of the health care system in the United States and comparing and contrasting applying this understanding to the provision of patient centered care in different health care organization(s) around the world. Knowledge: This assignment will also help you to become familiar with the following important content knowledge in this discipline: health care organizations, how they differ both in terms of how they provide patient centered care and nurses’ roles within them. Task: Read the chapter titled Health Care Organizations in your Giddens book. Then, read an article, published in a peer-reviewed journal within the past 5 years, that describes and/or analyzes a health care organization in another country. As you’re reading the article, think about how it relates to what you read about Health Care Organizations in the United States. For the assignment, please answer the following questions and submit in a Word document.
