Chapter 8 of the textbook identifies several ways of ineffective listening behaviors (pages 251-253) and effective listening responses (pages 257-271) that you can use on a daily basis. For this exercise, you will be using the form below to record YOUR OWN listening behaviors for a day (not someone else’s) Keep an accurate record of the situation, style used, people it was used with, and the consequence of the listening behavior. You will want to record the following: Time/Place, People Involved, Subject, Listening Style, and Consequence. Please complete at least 3 entries.Here’s what an entry sample might look like.
