For this essay assignment, choose any three theories or specific research studies from the class, describe them in detail, and discuss how they are related to you (or someone you know). Importantly, you should provide enough information about the course material so that someone unfamiliar with social psychology could still have a foundational understanding of the research. The personal application aspect is important, but only as a secondary component of this essay (see grading breakdown below).Essays must be 2 pages, double-spaced, minimum. There are no specific format requirements (e.g., APA, MLA, etc.), however grading will consider organization, grammar, and spelling so proofread your work carefully. Moreover, no direct quotes are allowed, given the relatively short length of this essay. A works-cited page is only required if you cite sources other than the textbook or lectures.The most important part of this essay is demonstrating your understanding of three separate course topics (60 points). This is completely open-ended and you may choose to write about anything you like. A smaller aspect of this (30 points) is being creative and tying all three of those ideas to personal experience. 15 points will also be dedicated to clarity of content.I would like the essay to be about normative social influence and informational social influence, and communal relationships and/or exchange relationships.
