The nurse practitioners fill the gap and offer services to the patients in convenient places and at affordable fees. The need for cheaper healthcare was also a force that pushed to the development of the nurse practitioners. Economic depression and, thence, reduced disposable income and the constant need for healthcare created a demand for affordable care and, therefore, the nurse practitioners.
