Develop your own Career Action Plan based on the information you have gained in this course. Consider information from course readings, assignments, and discussions.

Take some time to think seriously about where you would like to be in your future career and how you will get there. Once you have generated some ideas, respond to all items listed below:

Career Goal: Your career goal should be a goal that you can realistically accomplish in approximately 2–5 years. Your responses for items A―C below should be a minimum of 5 complete sentences each.

A. My Present – Where are you right now in terms of your career progress? What current strengths and weaknesses can you identify? What current skills and experiences do you have that make you stand out? This question is important because it will help you to establish a clear picture of your current skills, experiences, and areas for improvement as well. You will want to make sure to reflect upon recent course readings, discussions, and activities that have helped you to recognize your strengths, weaknesses, interests, and abilities.

B. My Future – Describe where you would like to be in terms of your career in the next 2–5 years. Identify at least one short-term goal (1–2 years) and one long-term goal (2-5 years) related to your career progress, making sure to note connections between the goals. Explain why each goal is important and what you will gain personally and professionally as you achieve these goals.
