Globalization was a part of the global community as early as the 1500’s and it has revolutionized the methodology of operating on a larger scale. “The spread of Muslim trading communities from port to port along the littorals of the Indian Ocean created a world of sea trade there analogous to the world of land routes in Central Asia.” (Ludden,D). The formation of trading created a larger scale of business transactions among other cultures and countries within certain regions of the world. Taiwan’s strength is having the ability to oversee an abundance of import investment from various countries that allowed the country to build a large surplus. The weakness Taiwan face is the political power of China and other large countries that could force unwanted leverage in business transactions. Political power has a tremendous impact for smaller countries like Taiwan because of the ability to use military might on the lesser country.
