OVERVIEW and FINAL BUSINESS PLAN OUTLINE

Your deliverable for Assignment 3 is your Final Business Plan. It will include content from Assignments 1 and 2, with revisions based on your professor’s feedback, as well as content from Assignment 3. Before proceeding, review the chart below to see how all your work fits together to create the final deliverable. This Final Business Plan Outline is a chart that shows how the sections written in Assignments 1, 2, and 3 are combined together to create your Final Business Plan paper.

ASSIGNMENT 3 INSTRUCTIONS

In this assignment, you will write the final three sections of your Business Plan, and finally you will write your Executive Summary. This section is written last because it is an overview of the whole Business Plan. Use ONE of the two Outlines below, depending if your new product or service line is to be added within an existing business (Intrapreneur) or launched as a start-up business (Entrepreneur).

Outline for Option A – INTRAPRENEUR

Create the following sections:

Ø Strategy: o Describe your strategic position in the market and what differentiates the

products or services you sell.

o How you will develop a loyal customer base for the products or services you sell?

Ø Project Team:

o List the key members of the project team

o Describe their responsibilities and skillsets

Ø Marketing:

o How will your new product or service fit in with the brand of your company?

o Will you be able to sell to existing customers? If not, how will you find new customers?

Ø Executive Summary Section:

o Write an Overview of 1 to 2 paragraphs presenting the key points of the overall Business Plan. Address all sections of the plan in Summary fashion.

 

 

Outline for Option B – ENTREPRENEUR

Create the following sections:

Ø Growth Strategy: o Describe your strategic position in the market and what differentiates the

products or services you plan to sell

o How you will develop a loyal customer base for the products or services you sell?

or service

o What marketing avenues will you use to advertise your brand and reach prospective customers?

Ø Executive Summary Section:

o Write an Overview of 1 to 2 paragraphs presenting the key points of the overall Business Plan. Address all sections of the plan in Summary fashion.

DELIVERABLE INSTRUCTIONS: FINAL BUSINESS PLAN After writing the sections described above, you do not need to submit them for review before integrating them into your full Business Plan. Proceed directly to assemble your Final Business Plan, as explained below:

o Refer back to the Final Business Plan Outline chart, which you reviewed in the Overview and Final Business Plan Outline section at the beginning of Assignment 3.

o Use the Final Business Plan Outline chart to combine the content from all three of your course assignments, so as to create your Final Business Plan paper.

o Be sure to include all eleven (11) listed sections, in the correct order, in your Final Business Plan.

This Final Business Plan paper is the document that you will submit as your Assignment 3.

 

FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS

§ Typed, double-spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12) with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow JWMI style guide and writing format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

§ Include a Cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date
