Introduction:

Research has shown that nearly 50% of American employees experience some form of workplace aggression whether it is psychological or physical.

Scenario:

The employees at your organization are voicing concerns about the negative work environment. The CEO has decided that a new training program should be created to improve the safety climate and the health and well-being of the employees. The presentation should be no longer than thirty minutes to allow employees to ask questions.

Tasks:

• Evaluate the impact workplace aggression has on an employee’s health and well-being.
• Analyze the difference between safety culture and safety climate.
• Propose an intervention to reduce workplace aggression in order to create an acceptable safety climate for the employees.
• Analyze how you would measure the effects of the new safety climate.
