To participate, choose ONE of the problems listed in the Discussion Problems Column that has not already been chosen by a classmate:
1. Click the “Start a New Thread” button below the instructions to post your solution.
2. Write the section and problem number into the subject line. Example: Section 1.5 #28.
(Using this format will list the problems in order so that you can see if a problem has already been selected by a classmate.)
3. Be sure to write out the directions for the problem and the original statement of the problem then show work or an explanation with your solution; generally speaking, do not just state your answer.
4. Click Post to save and display your problem.
You may reserve your exercise by posting a note identifying your exercise and including “reserved” in the title. Follow up by posting your initial solution by the end of Week 6. Your work will be reviewed by your instructor. Please check back into the discussion for comments; you may be asked to revise your work and to answer follow-up questions. To earn full credit, you must complete any revisions by Wed., Dec. 7.
Please write revisions as NEW replies to comments so that your instructor will receive a notification from LEO that you have posted new work and so that classmates looking over your work can follow the thread of the discussion.
