In “A Manager’s Guide to Choosing and Using Collaborative Networks” (2006), Brinton and Provan outline four inter-organizational networks that can be found within public management. These networks each serve their own purpose in a publicor nonprofit organization. What examples of these four networks have you observed in your professional experience?

Networks with Organizations Assignment

As a group, find actual examples of each of the four types of networks described by Milward and Provan in “A Manager’s Guide to Choosing and Using Collaborative Networks.” Your group may use personal professional experiences, new articles, academic journals, and other credible sources to generate an example of each of the four types of networks.

When you have your network examples determined, as a group, write a paragraph description of each actual example of the network type. In your paragraphs, include the appropriate level of detail, relating the actual experience to the key descriptions of the networks within the Milward and Provan article. Your assignment that describes four types of networks should total no more than two pages.

Be sure your assignment is double-spaced, uses 12-point font with appropriate references cites, and is a Microsoft Word document. Select one group member to submit your assignment to the Module 6: Networks within Organizations assignment dropbox by Sunday, Day 6 of this module.
