Review the Technology Sales Pitch video presentation from this unit’s studies.

For this discussion, assume the role of a nurse leader who is taking part in the selection of a new system for your hospital. What is your assessment of the systems presented in the video?

What was your overall impression of the three systems? What factors influenced this impression?

What are your hospital’s informatics needs? Do these three proposals address them? If not, what questions would you ask of the sales representatives?

What are the specific informatics needs of your nursing staff? How would you rate these three systems based on their ability to fulfill those requirements? What additional information would you need in order to make a recommendation?
