Instructions:

1) Topic: Pros and cons on Artificial Intelligence

2) Five-pages analytical paper (Don’t just write five pages due to the requirement so make sure your point and your message is well detailed within the five pages because I wouldn’t want you to start developing the topic and stop at five pages without fully explaining)

3) The paper will include bibliography and endnotes formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style.

4) Write the paper as if you were briefing a military officer by making a decision or informing him/her

5) Do not use PASSIVE VOICE at all

6) Do not double space the footnote

7) Below is what the professor would like to see in the paper: It simply means that you must explain to the military officer that you’re briefing the pros and cons of artificial intelligence by using the style below. It’s an analytical paper!!!

2. Tasking collection

– HUMINT source (a local who knows the networks)

– GEOINT (recent activity in the area)

– SIGINT (how we build networks and identifying people in the network. It locates where they are, their pattern of life, movements, etc.)

– Open Source OSINT (news media that gives details of people)

3. Collecting

– “So, what?” part

– You get the answers, 1, 2, 3 etc.

4. PED/Processing

– Can leave it out of write up this time, or you can say “might take weeks to get”

– Processing, exploitation, and dissemination

– Literal vs Nonliteral (Literal: it’s known, or nonliteral: it needs interpreting)

– It needs to be processed (nonliteral)

5. Analysis

– “I task HUMINT to ask why they are doing this and they came back and said it’s because the government isn’t helping, they want to help their families, etc”

6. Evaluation/Feedback

– Give a conclusion

“they’re doing this because the government doesn’t pay enough, crime pays. It poses a threat to the US- We need to send a military operation to handle it. or it won’t help, we need to do nation building etc.”
